A Break: Freedom of Speech
What is freedom of speech? What does freedom of speech mean to me, as a blogger? As a blogger freedom of speech is pretty much self-explanatory. Freedom of speech means that you are free to say what ever you feel or want to say. I have the choice to say the things that I say everyday. No one in the world can force me to not say something or say something I don’t want to say. All of this is because I have the choice. Anyone who has the right, freedom of speech, has the option and right to say anything. Although you can say anything because you are free to do it, there will always be consequences. As a blogger, I can wright anything, but I will always have to face consequences. These consequences are not necessarily bad or good, they are results for your actions. If I say something insulting to someone or something, or I state a racist comment(I have the right to do all of this) I will suffer negative consequences. If I make a deep, thought provoking argument, I will have a positive consequence. Since I blog, I never will say anything that might jeopardize my opportunity of blogging, even though I am entitled to say whatever I want. I will preform like this because there will always be consequences everywhere.
This is also, obviously different because I am a minor and there are adults out there too. Now relating this topic to my blog topic, the movie Billy Madison. In this movie, I could obviously tell that the creaters took their right to the fullest. In the movie, they make fun of many things because they have the right and choice to. They, in my eyes, recieved positive feedback being such a funny movie, but on the contrary, I bet some of the viewers got mad at the insults.
Freedom of speech is saying whatever you want to say, but one must know that there will always be consequences. Everyone has the choice to say what they want to say, but there will be results. Since I follow guidlines, I must be careful of what I write because of reactions(even though I could say whatever).
